Description
The National Kidney Foundation, Inc., (NKF) serving Minnesota, the Dakotas and Iowa is pleased to announce that Prairie Lakes Healthcare System will be the presenting sponsor for the first ever Watertown Kidney Walk, Fun Run and Bike-a-thon to take place on Saturday, May 5, 2012, starting at the Bramble Park Zoo Shelter. Walkers and runners may participate in a non-competitive 5K and bikers may participate in a non-competitive 50K (30 miles) bike ride around Watertown. Bikers will start at 8:00 a.m., runners at 8:30 a.m. and walkers at 10:00 a.m.
The Watertown Kidney Walk, Fun Run and Bike-a-Thon will raise dollars and awareness for the fight against kidney disease and the need to increase organ donation in the United States.
Price Information
Registration Fee: Free
Walkers participate for FREE. There is a $25 pre-registration fee and a $35 day-of-registration fee for bikers and runners. The fee includes the ride or run, an event T-shirt, entertainment and refreshments. All participants are encouraged to raise dollars by collecting donations.
