for the good of the zoo
Lake Area Zoological Society
For 50 years, the Lake Area Zoological Society has been the only nonprofit organization allocating 100% of its
proceeds to the Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, South Dakota. By contributing directly to LAZS, donors are supporting the day-to-day operations of the community zoo, as well as providing opportunities for long-term enrichment and sustainability through habitat enhancement, conservation efforts, community outreach, wildlife education and the procurement of new animals. Thank you for supporting us in our mission!
celebrating 50 years
The Lake Area Zoological Society was established in 1972 as a way to provide significant assistance in the growth, development and professionalism of the Bramble Park Zoo. Donating to the LAZS is the only way to ensure gifts meant specifically for the zoo go to the zoo.

More space. Better viewing opportunities. Enhanced enrichment activities. Additional rocky cliffs, ledges and natural perches. These are the dreams the Lake Area Zoological Society has for the brand new snow leopard habitat at the Bramble Park Zoo. Thanks to our Wild Dreams Capital Campaign, you can help our leopards thrive in a new space designed just for them!
