Zoo Hours
Regular Zoo Hours – 10:00 am-4:00 pm daily
(2024 Extended Summer Hours – 10:00am-4:00pm daily plus 10:00am-7:00pm on Saturdays Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Closed some winter holidays (Veteran’s Day; Thanksgiving; Black Friday; December 24-25 for Christmas; December 31-January 1 for New Year’s; Martin Luther King Jr Day; and Presidents’ Day)
We are also closed our regular hours on Zoo Boo as we prepare for the special event held that afternoon.

Location
Bramble Park Zoo is located along SD Highway 20 in northwest Watertown. Directional signs are located along Interstate 29, US Highway 212 and Highway 20.
Group Tours
Special guided tours for groups can be booked by calling the Bramble Park Zoo at 605.882.6269. For your fun and convenience, concessions, picnic areas, and a children’s playground are on grounds here at the zoo. Keeper Talks and Training Demonstrations are held on weekends, Memorial Day through Labor Day. All facilities are handicapped accessible. Group rates apply for groups over 100 people.
Memberships
For as little as $70 a year, you can become a member of the Lake Area Zoological Society.

WILD Birthday Parties
Celebrate your birthday at the Bramble Park Zoo.
Please call the zoo at 882-6269 (at least 2 weeks in advance) to arrange your party.
For children ages 3+:
#1 Birthday in a Bag
Party includes admission to the Zoo for 12 youth and 2 adults, a special backpack for the birthday child containing: a $10 gift certificate for the gift shop; food for the goats, pony, alpaca, pigs and waterfowl; scavenger hunt; and a $5 off coupon for a cake at the Hy-Vee bakery. You will be responsible for ordering and picking up the cake, food, decorations, clean up and chaperoning the participants during the entire party. Two parents or guardians must attend (there must be one chaperone for every 6 children).
Fee: $160 + tax (maximum of 12 children, 12 years and under, and 2 adults)
Additional guests: $13.50+ tax each
This party is unstaffed. Picnic tables are available on grounds on a first come, first serve basis. Inside accommodations can be made (if available) in case of inclement weather. LAZS membership not valid for admission during birthday party packages.
For older children ages 7+:
#2 Traditional Zoo Birthday
Party includes admission to the Zoo for 12 youth and 2 adults, private party room for two hours, a special animal encounter, zooper zoo games and $5 off coupon for a cake at the Hy-Vee bakery. You will be responsible for ordering and picking up the cake, food, decorations, clean up and chaperoning the participants during the entire party. Two parents or guardians must attend (there must be one chaperone for every 6 children).
Fee: $210 + tax (maximum of 12 children, 12 years and under, and 2 adults)
Additional guests: $13.50+ tax each
Add a Backpack: $20 + tax
This party is staffed for approximately 1 hour. LAZS membership not valid for admission during birthday party packages.
For younger children and families:
#3 Room Rental
Rent a room at Bramble Park Zoo and host your own party or get-together. The classrooms/multi-purpose rooms in the Terry Redlin Environmental Center or the Big Red Barn can be reserved. In addition, each person attending the function in the classroom would be charged regular admission. LAZS memberships do allow members to attend the party at no charge. The room rental option is perfect for birthday parties, meetings, showers, reunions and more!
Fee: $25 + tax per hour plus admission fees for everyone who attends. LAZS memberships are valid.
#4 KidZoo Picnic Shelter Rental
Rent the Prairie Porch Picnic Shelter within the AWC Family Foundation’s KidZoo. Call 882-6269 for availability and reservations.
Fee: $25 + tax plus admission fees for everyone who attends. LAZS memberships are valid.
New: If you rent the shelter and the admission fees are paid in one transaction, you get $1 off each person’s admission!
