Terms and Conditions of Outreach Program

The Bramble Park Zoo outreach program requires the following conditions from your facility/group to ensure a safe, educational, and entertaining program.

  1. For programs that are conducted outside.Most zoo animals can not be shown should the temperature not reach 60 degrees F, or if it exceeds 90 degrees F. (i.e. NO reptiles, amphibians, or tropical birds or mammals, and others susceptible to cold or heat).
    • Should precipitation develop, proper cover shall be made available for the program to continue under safe and dry conditions.
    • Our zoo staff will take all the proper precautions they deem necessary in the event of severe weather conditions.
    • The facility/groups will provide personnel to ensure that no person enters the zoo’s assigned area or 20-foot perimeter (minimum) with any of the following objects.
      • Any animals other than those brought by BPZ.
      • Dangerous noise-related items such as balloons, whistles, firecrackers, etc.
      • Food
      • Any item or behavior that should threaten the safety or comfort level of any of the animals.
      • The facility/group will provide personnel and /or assistance to ensure that any other needs, as determined by the zoo staff, are met.
  1. For programs that are conducted inside.
    • The above mentioned temperature constraints are also valid for any indoor facility.
    • Our zoo staff will take all the proper precautions they deem necessary in the event of severe weather conditions.
    • The facility/groups will provide personnel to ensure that no person enters the zoo’s assigned area or 20-foot perimeter (minimum) with any of the following objects…
      • Any animals other than those brought by BPZ.
      • Dangerous noise-related items such as balloons, whistles, firecrackers, etc.
      • Food
      • Any item or behavior that should threaten the safety or comfort level of any of the animals.
      • The facility/group will provide personnel and /or assistance to ensure that any other needs, as determined by the zoo staff, are met.

If severe weather shall develop, the Bramble Park Zoo has the right to cancel any outreach program if traveling conditions are deemed dangerous to the welfare of the staff and/or animals being transported. If cancellation is required, Zoo personnel will contact the host facility as soon as possible.

By scheduling an outreach program your organization is agreeing to the conditions of this document. Thank you for your cooperation. Please understand the Bramble Park Zoo staff has the authority to decide whether it is appropriate to conduct any program, and if necessary, may cancel the program at any time. Any refunds due to this type of cancellation will be determined by the Zoo.
